Top quality is Village Treats top priority – customers expect nothing less, and we never disappoint them. Over the years Village Treats has found ways to produce the same top quality product in ways that allow the company to continually offer reasonable prices for the high quality of its products, despite ever increasing costs.
Village Treats only uses top quality ingredients; that means Peter’s chocolate original recipe from Switzerland, ginger from Australia, real local Maple Syrup, and dairy products delivered fresh from farmers in the Ottawa Valley.
Original recipes are still being used today along with some of the same machinery that were used right from the start. All chocolates start off from the scratch and are cook in large copper pots over an open flame in our kitchen in Lanark, Ontario. Then, we hand we press our truffles and creams before they are sent down our line to be enrobed in either milk or dark chocolate. Working so closely with our chocolates at every step of production ensures a product that is true to the standards Mr. West set back when he started.
Since 1979, one thing has remained a constant here at Village Treats – a commitment to quality and producing the best chocolates.
The West family, who started Village Treats in 1979, were dedicated to making top quality chocolates and the tradition carries on today. We take pride in using only the finest, and freshest ingredients – just as Mr. West did when he started making fudge over 30 years ago.
